Powder Coated

Description:

  • Bullbars: This finish is for a fully coated bulbar and is most suitable for off-road or rural use. This finish looks great blending well with most car colours. The fully powder coated bar gives a rugged look with great durability for off-road and hardwearing conditions.
  • Sump guards: The powder coated finish for sump guards is popular Subaru enthusiasts who want a hard wearing finish which blends seamlessly into the underside of the car. This Finish is also a great asset for vehicles in highly saline environments such as coastal regions or salted roads in regions where roads are subject to ice and snow.

Repair and Maintenance

Due to the powder coating process, if the bar is damaged or heavily scratched, it must be detached from your vehicle, sandblasted and then completely recoated.

Premium Powder Coated

Description:

  • The Premium Powder Coated finish involves a polished finish for the top pipes and a powder coated finish for the bottom of the bar in either Black Ripple or Antique Silver.
  • This finish is popular for customers looking for that premium, upmarket appearance, whilst having the advantage of a durable finish on the front bumper for rural or hardwearing conditions. Keeping the pipes polished regularly maintains their shine and striking contrast.

Notes

  • Heavy use on dirt roads can leave the paint on the lower parts of the bar vulnerable to stone chips. However, the paint work can be touched up at minimal cost.
'2 Pack' Finish

Description:

  • The ‘2 Pack’ finish is a painted baked enamel finish.
  • Matches original vehicle paint code – normally to match original bumper colour, in the case of bars.
  • This finish gives a ‘classy’ look blending in with the front of the car.
NOTE: Subaxtreme uses the highest quality paints & tradespersons, however due to variations in original vehicle paint colours we cannot guarantee an exact match with the vehicles original colour. Please contact us for more details.

'2 Pack' Colour Coded

Description:

  • Bumper section of bullbar is painted with a 2 pack colour coded finish
  • Matches original vehicle paint code – normally to match original bumper colour, in the case of bars.
  • Entire tube work is our “Highly polished alloy finish”
  • The Premium Colour coded finish gives an upmarket appearance most suitable for urban areas. the 2 pack finish is a baked enamel finish which is susceptible to stone chipping however can be touched up at minimal cost. The highly polished pipes do require regular maintenance to maintain their high quality finish.

This finish is chosen for a lower maintenance approach utilising the durability and stone chip resistance of the powder coat finish on the pipes. The painted bottom is used to give the car an upmarket look. Chipping of the paint can happen if used heavily on dirt roads but can be touched up at minimal cost.

Nudge Bar Finishes

Polished

To give a premium look to  the front of the car the polished pipework should be maintained to retain the shine.

Painted

A 2 pack baked enamel painted finish to match the manufacturers finish. The paint work can be vulnerable to chipping on dirt roads however can be touched up at minimal cost.

Powder coated

The powder coating finish gives the most durable finish in regional areas or harsh conditions. The powder coated finish is also particularly durable in saline environments. This is a suitable finish where heavy chipping may occur however if damaged or heavily scratched the bar must be removed and completely recoated due to the powder coating process.

Sump Guard Finishes

The sump guard manufacturing process varies depending on car model. Our sump guards are either made from 6mm cast aluminium or 4mm fabricated aluminium.

Bare Finish

For the majority of customers the bare finish is the most suitable finish.

Powder Coated Finish

This is a suitable finish for customers who wish to have a sump guard that blends in with the undercarriage of  the car. This can also provide extra durability in highly corrosive saline areas such as coastal regions or in area where roads are salted  in icy or snowy regions.
